The Conference will take place in the Peace Palace in The Hague (The Netherlands) from 11 until 13 June 2008. The Conference will lead to an agenda for the development of the role of local governments in the field of conflict prevention, peace-building and post-conflict reconstruction.

A council on question of reforms of Housing and Communal Services (HCS) was held in the Government under the chairmanship of First vice prime-minister Aidyraliev I.R.
The Association of Cities of the Kyrgyz Republic has sent the Declaration for the Paper “On democracy at the local level and decentralization in the states of Euro- Asiatic region” to Regional Section for Euro-Asia of the World Organization of United Cities and Local Governments
According to this draft, the country transfers from the two-level to the three-level budget and there will be created reserve funds attached to governors of oblasts and akims (head) of rayons of The Kyrgyz Republic.
