Worldwide organization “United Cities and Local Governments” announced about holding of First World Conference on City Diplomacy.

The Conference will take place in the Peace Palace in The Hague (The Netherlands) from 11 until 13 June 2008. The Conference will lead to an agenda for the development of the role of local governments in the field of conflict prevention, peace-building and post-conflict reconstruction.
